πŸ•΅οΈ Great Finds

🏦 Best Bank Accounts in 2024 for Max Interest on Cash

My goal is to be earning ≥5% on all my cash (including checking), so I spent dozens of hours evaluating every bank option out there and put together this episode to lay out my framework for evaluating banks and my top three recommendations.

πŸ“• GV's Free Customer Sprint Playbook

I've seen so many startups struggle to find their ideal customer and figure out if they’re solving the right problem for them. However, during my time at Google Ventures (GV), I got to work with one of the best customer researchers, Michael Margolis, who just released a FREE step-by-step playbook called “Learn More Faster” to help accelerate customer discovery.

πŸ“² Code Piper: Easy SMS 2FA on Mac

I have two-factor authentication for everything I can and prefer using passkey's and rotating 2FA codes I can store in 1Password. However, its impossible to avoid some apps that require SMS 2FA. On iOS, I love how easy it is to paste the 2FA codes, but unless you're using Safari (I'm not, I'm using Arc), you have to manually copy/paste the codes. Then I found Code Piper, a macOS app that automatically copies incoming codes to the clipboard so you can easy paste them anywhere.

🫁 Breathing: The Most Underrated Health Tip

Humans are the worst breathers in the entire animal kingdom and improper breathing has been linked to numerous health issues that include poor sleep, asthma, chronic congestion, ADHD and anxiety. But don't worry, James Nestor, award-winning author of the book Breath, shares research-backed techniques to identify and fix your breathing habits in last week's episode.

🧘‍♂️ The Power of Quiet Compounding

I really enjoyed Morgan Housel's latest article on how people get so caught up in external validation and comparing their success that they forget to recognize how everyone's journey is unique. Housel argues that true financial success is achieved through patience, steadiness, and staying focused on your own path, something he calls "quiet compounding" and that I completely agree with!

βŒ› What to Do When Your Parents Get Old

Shaan Puri, co-host of My First Million, collected ideas of things you can do for your parents when they get old and put together this great post of what he learned. It's all broken into different levels in terms of cost and effort.

πŸ’Έ Stocks vs. Real Estate: What's a Better Investment?

In this week's episode, the experts at The Motley Fool and BiggerPockets discuss whether stock investing or real estate is the faster path to wealth. We cover everything from tax advantages, cash flow potential, long-term returns, and wealth-building strategies associated with each investment path.

🌎 Oneworld To Add Fiji Airways + Oman Airways

Fiji Airways and Oman Air are set to join the Oneworld alliance, with Oman Air expected to join within the next few months and Fiji Airways becoming a full member by 2025. These partnerships will hopefully open up a bunch of new opportunities to visit Fiji, the South Pacific and the Middle East on your points.
